Herrington Lake is a relatively undiscovered jewel located in the heart of the Bluegrass, famous for a rich heritage of horses and bourbon, and within 50 miles of Churchill Downs (The Kentucky Derby), Keeneland and virtually every major legitimate bourbon distillery in the world.

While it was the Lake Life that brought most of us to The Glade, we discovered that after a short time the lake just became a perk to living here.  The real and most enduring reason to live in The Glade is the people, who are among the most gracious and genuinely friendly you'll ever encounter.  Coming from varied backgrounds and places, we were never outsiders (“Did you close the gate behind you?”), but the attitude is always “We don't care about your origin because you are one of us now!”  

 

We gather together whenever we have the opportunity because we enjoy what each individual brings from his or her experiences to the party.  And isn't that what we all want out of life: to be among good friends and family, to share meals, stories, and to laugh together?
